Job summary

Angard Staffing is recruiting for Temporary Bay Marshals with Royal Mail to support busy parcel handling at a major hub. You will help load/unload trailers and move pallets and equipment safely across the site, ensuring compliance with health and safety rules and operational standards.

Ideal candidates are able to work in a fast-paced environment, are physically capable, reliable, and flexible. Full training is provided and roles include various shifts with overtime and holiday enhancements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to lift and move parcels and equipment safely.
• Previous logistics or warehouse experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Move Yorks, cages, pallets and equipment around the site.
• Ensure trailers are loaded per safety requirements.
• Assist with movement of parcels between areas.
• Conduct trailer checks before loading/unloading begins.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized workspace.
• Work with teams to hit productivity targets.
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Bay Marshal, you will play an important role in the loading and unloading of trailers, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of parcels and equipment throughout the operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Move Yorks, cages, pallets, and other operational equipment around the site.
• Ensure trailers are loaded in accordance with operational and safety requirements.
• Assist with the movement of parcels between operational areas.
• Conduct trailer checks before loading and unloading activities commence.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area.
• Work closely with operational teams to achieve productivity targets.
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.

Pay & Shifts

The table below outlines the typical pay rates for Forklift Driver roles within our Parcel Hub.

Rates may vary slightly during peak periods, and Angard Staffing will communicate any changes in advance.

• Morning Shift – 06:00–14:00 – £15.60
• Afternoon Shift – 14:00–22:00 – £15.60
• Night Shift – 22:00–06:00 – £16.86
• Overtime (Over 40 hours) – Mon–Sun – £17.33
• Bank Holidays – All Day – £20.59

Important Information

This role is for a Christmas period. Assignments are temporary and will automatically end once the site closes for the Christmas season.
