Canadian Solar Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join a cross-functional team delivering Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

The role focuses on testing and commissioning oversight from pre-commissioning through substantial completion, with over 75% of time spent at project sites. The candidate will coordinate with owners, engineering, construction, and operations teams, review FATs, and support a continuous commissioning program to ensure safe and efficient project

Qualifikationen

• BS in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5-10 years in commissioning or systems engineering for energy storage EPC.
• Direct experience with battery storage, MV stations, and related equipment/systems.
• Proficient in specification, bid analysis and procurement of major equipment (inverters, transformers, switchgear).
• Proficient with SCADA systems and related communication protocols.
• Solid understanding of commissioning and testing of Energy Storage projects.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to project sites.

Aufgaben

• Participate in meetings with owner, operations and maintenance, design, and construction personnel to align goals and schedules.
• Prepare commissioning plans, specifications and checklists, and functional test documentation.
• Review project documents to identify gaps in scope and responsibilities for project success.
