Battery Production Operative – Late Shift (Training Provided)

Job summary

gap Personnel are working with GS Yuasa in Swindon to recruit multiple Production Operatives for the fixed late shift. The role is a temporary ongoing contract, offering 37.5 hours per week and a pay rate of £14.23 per hour, rising to £14.58 after 12 weeks.

You will test batteries, apply labels, inspect quality, assist loading and transport batteries along the line, and work within a team with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail to identify defects
• Self-driven and hardworking
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Flexible to shifts, overtime and weekends
• Physically able to lift/carry up to 20–25 kg
• Willingness to work as part of a team. Full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Testing of batteries (full training provided)
• Putting on sticky labels in the correct place
• Inspect finished products for defects to ensure quality standards
• Assist in the loading of batteries to the production lines
• Transport batteries from one place to another
• Communicate effectively with co-workers to ensure efficient production and deadlines are met
• Conduct inspections and quality control of products
• Assist in lifting, carrying and moving heavy loads as required
