Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking licenced bat ecologists to join our Ecology and Biodiversity team across the UK. You will deliver bat surveys, mitigation strategies and technical reporting for diverse projects including power, mining and built environment sectors.

Candidates should hold a Natural England Class 2 bat licence or higher and be able to demonstrate Bat Earned Recognition eligibility. Opportunities for progression and flexible, hybrid working are available.

Qualifications

• Natural England Class 2 bat licence or above.
• Bat Earned Recognition consultant Level 1–3 or eligible.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bat surveys and related fieldwork.
• Analyse data and contribute to BER/site registrations.
• Lead on bat mitigation and licensing strategies.
• Prepare technical reports and EPSL documentation.
• Supervise mitigation works and mentor juniors.
