Job summary

City Lit in Covent Garden, London, seeks an experienced Basketry Tutor to plan, deliver and assess high-quality short courses for adult learners. Salary is £39.50 per hour, with pro rata holiday entitlement and preparation time.

You will inspire students across levels from beginner to advanced, covering coiling, twining, cordage, and working with cane and rush in a flexible, creative setting.

• Basketry instruction expertise with adult education experience.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and creative Basketry Tutor to plan, deliver and assess high-quality short courses for adult learners. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop their skills across a range of levels from beginner to advanced learners. As one of a few colleges offering this subject, we aim to provide access to general skills alongside more specialist workshops in a range of relevant subject areas such as coiling, twining, cordage, and working with materials such as Cane and Rush and unconventional materials.
