Job summary

Soho House & Co in Manchester is seeking a Bartender to deliver premium beverage experiences. You will support the Bar Manager and Assistant Bar Manager, prepare cocktails, wines and spirits with precision, and create a welcoming, sophisticated environment for our members and guests.

You will engage guests with a personalised service, maintain bar standards, assist with stock and inventories, and help develop seasonal menus while following health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in a bartending role.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a confident presence.
• Experience using POS systems and stock control processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of drinks to a high standard.
• Engage with members and guests in a warm, professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organisation of the bar.
• Assist with stock rotation and replenishment of supplies.
• Ensure licensing, health & safety and hygiene standards.
• Contribute to new cocktail menus with the bar team.
• Process orders using the POS system and handle billing.
• Collaborate with floor, kitchen and events teams to ensure smooth service.
• Address member queries and feedback with professionalism.

Key duties…

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of drinks to a consistently high standard, including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Engage with members and guests in a warm, professional manner, remembering preferences and delivering a personalised experience.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the bar before, during, and after service.
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory, and replenishment of supplies throughout the shift.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and hygiene standards always.
• Contribute to the development of new cocktail menus and seasonal drink offerings in collaboration with the bar team.
• Process orders accurately using the POS system and ensure all billing is completed to club standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the floor team, kitchen, and events department to ensure smooth and seamless service.
• Handle member queries and feedback confidently, escalating any concerns to management as appropriate.

What We Are Looking For...

• 2 -3 years’ experience in similar capacity
• Strong cocktail knowledge, including classics, techniques, and spirits.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a confident, calm presence during busy services.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
• Experience working with POS systems, stock control, and basic reporting.
• Team player with a flexible, professional, and positive attitude.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Personal License or willingness to obtain one (preferred).
