Job summary

Soho House in Frome, England invites an experienced Bartender to deliver premium beverage experiences. You will support the Bar Manager and Assistant Bar Manager, ensuring the bar is operational, stocked and presented to the highest standard.

Your main responsibility is to prepare and serve classic and contemporary cocktails, wines and spirits with precision, while creating a welcoming and sophisticated environment for members and guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a similar bar capacity.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails.
• Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
• Fluent English written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of drinks to a consistently high standard, including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Engage with members and guests in a warm, professional manner, delivering a personalised experience.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the bar.
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory, and replenishment of supplies.
• Ensure licensing, health, safety, and hygiene standards are met.
• Contribute to development of new cocktail menus and seasonal offerings with the bar team.
• Process orders accurately using the POS system and ensure all billing is correct.
• Collaborate with floor, kitchen, events teams for seamless service.
• Handle member queries and feedback, escalating as needed.

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of drinks to a consistently high standard, including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Engage with members and guests in a warm, professional manner, remembering preferences and delivering a personalised experience.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the bar before, during, and after service.
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory, and replenishment of supplies throughout the shift.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health safety, and hygiene standards always.
• Contribute to the development of new cocktail menus and seasonal drink offerings in collaboration with the bar team.
• Process orders accurately using the POS system and ensure all billing is completed to club standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the floor team, kitchen, and events department to ensure smooth and seamless service.
• Handle member queries and feedback confidently, escalating any concerns to management as appropriate.
  2 -3 years' experience in similar capacity
• Strong cocktail knowledge, including classics, techniques, and spirits.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a confident, calm presence during busy services.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
• Experience working with POS systems, stock control, and basic reporting.
• Team player with a flexible, professional, and positive attitude.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Personal License or willingness to obtain one (preferred).
