Job summary

The Punchbowl Inn in Lapworth is seeking a friendly bartender to join our busy pub and restaurant team. You will welcome guests, mix and serve drinks, and ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience.

Full training is provided; prior bar experience helps but is not essential. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays is valued in our supportive, hospitality-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Previous bar or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Friendly, positive and professional attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable team player with good attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm and friendly welcome to all guests.
• Prepare and serve a wide range of drinks, including cocktails, wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks.
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure every guest has a positive experience.
• Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
• Process payments accurately using our till system.
• Follow all licensing regulations, including checking identification when required.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking and cleaning.
• Work closely with the restaurant and management teams to ensure smooth service.
• Support colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a positive team environment.
