Job summary

The Fire Station is a Grade II listed venue near Waterloo station, currently seeking an energetic bartender to join a fast-paced team. You will help create memorable guest experiences with excellent drinks and service.

Responsibilities include crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean, stocked bar, and collaborating with floor staff to ensure smooth shifts during peak hours. Must be 18+ and possess at least 1 year of bartending experience.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, charismatic personality with excellent communication skills.
• Experience bartending in a busy, high-volume bar/restaurant (minimum 1 year).
• Solid knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits and pouring techniques.
• Able to work a flexible rota, including late nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be aged 18 or older to serve alcoholic beverages.

The Fire Station is a Grade II listed building, and the latest addition to the Urban Pubs & Bars family. We are a fast-paced, high-volume venue right next to Waterloo station, known for our vibrant atmosphere, live sports, exceptional drinks, and unforgettable guest experiences. Our bar is constantly buzzing, and we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier service even during peak hours. We are looking for an energetic, passionate Bartender to join our dynamic team and help keep the positive energy flowing.

What You’ll Do

• Bring the Energy: Welcome guests with a warm, enthusiastic attitude, ensuring they have an amazing time from their first drink to their last.


• Craft High-Quality Drinks: Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages—from classic cocktails and draught beers to unique venue specialties—quickly and accurately.


• Thrive Under Pressure: Maintain speed, efficiency, and a calm demeanor during our busiest weekend and evening rushes.


• Keep it Clean: Maintain a spotless, organized, and fully stocked bar setup at all times.


• Be a Team Player: Collaborate closely with floor staff and management to ensure the entire shift runs smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

• Enthusiasm & Charisma: A naturally positive, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.


• Fast-Paced Experience: At least 1 year of bartending experience in a busy, high-volume bar or restaurant.


• Cocktail Confidence: Solid foundational knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, and pouring techniques.


• Flexibility: Availability to work a flexible rota, including late nights, weekends, and holiday periods.


• Legal Requirement: Must be aged 18 or older to serve alcoholic beverages.
