Job summary

Virgin Hotels Edinburgh is seeking energetic bartenders for Eve, our vibrant Italian restaurant. You will shake signature cocktails, pour Italian wines, and service guests across hotel and dining spaces with flair and hospitality.

Ideal candidates bring cocktail knowledge, excellent communication, and a team-player mindset. Full on-site shifts, weekends and holidays required, with competitive benefits and development opportunities.

• Friendly, outgoing personality suitable for guest-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, welcoming attitude and create a memorable bar experience
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with style and precision
• Confidently recommend drinks, upsell, and answer guest questions
• Keep the bar stocked, clean and organised during shifts
• Handle transactions accurately (cash and card)
• Maintain knowledge of drink menu, Italian-inspired cocktails, wines and seasonal specials
• Collaborate with floor/kitchen teams during busy times
• Set up and close down the bar to a high standard
• Participate in restaurant events and special functions as needed
• Follow health, safety and hygiene protocols including responsible service of alcohol
• Bring positive energy to every shift

The Details:

What exactly you will be doing…

• Greet guests with a warm, welcoming attitude and create a memorable bar experience
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with style, precision, and flair

Must-haves:

• Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United Kingdom
• Ability to work on-site at Virgin Hotels Edinburgh for every shift.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including on the weekends and holidays.
