Job Description

Main Duties

Reporting to the Outlets Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Assuming responsibility for the smooth operation of the Bar, including setup and breakdown.
  2. Focusing on guest satisfaction and engaging with guests.
  3. Having good knowledge of all bar items, including wines, champagnes, cocktails, beverages, and bar food, and making appropriate recommendations.
  4. Ensuring accurate input of all information into the Micros system, including special requests.
  5. Ensuring drinks served are recorded correctly, using the reservation name on checks.
  6. Safely delivering beverages and food to guests, catering to their needs at all times.
  7. Maintaining standards of service and items used during service.
  8. Handling payments correctly, reconciling collections, and depositing amounts securely.
  9. Maintaining the assigned float at the end of each shift.
  10. Closing end-of-day transactions and submitting reports to Finance.
  11. Complying with health and safety legislation, reporting accidents, and attending safety training.
  12. Participating in training, attending service meetings, and embracing new concepts.
  13. Active upselling.
  14. Approaching all guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  15. Maintaining attendance and personal grooming standards.
  16. Completing side work and cleaning duties per SOPs.
  17. Having full menu knowledge and providing attentive service.
  18. Processing payments and keeping accurate check records.
  19. Making coffee, espresso, and tea.
  20. Reconciling breakfast POS bills during shifts.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-year experience in Food and Beverage, preferably in a luxury setting.
  • Operational knowledge of Point of Sale systems is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good wine and liquor knowledge is helpful.
  • Strong guest service orientation.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities while providing excellent service.
