Job summary

Chartwells Independent is seeking a motivated Barista in the United Kingdom to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). You will craft high-quality coffees and deliver friendly, first-class service to customers while maintaining a clean, welcoming bar area.

Your shifts are mornings Monday to Friday, with a 38-week year, and you will learn brewing methods, ensure accurate payments, stock mugs, and represent the Chartwells brand with pride.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is essential.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment and coffee preparation.

Responsibilities

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
