Job summary

Lodestone House, part of Compass Group UK&I's Chartwells, is recruiting a driven Barista for a part-time role contracted to 20 hours per week.

You will deliver first-class service and perfectly crafted coffees while learning brewing methods and maintaining a clean bar area. Shift patterns include Mon-Fri (Full Time Days) with a 41-week per year contract. Great progression opportunities and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is required.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment is preferred.
• Able to communicate clearly and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare blended drinks and serve high-quality foods to customers.
• Keep the bar area clean and well stocked.
• Receive and process payments (cash and card).
• Be a proactive team player and good communicator.
• Learn brewing methods, beverage blends, and presentation techniques.
• Check brewing equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image.
• Comply with food handling, hygiene, and health & safety standards.

We're currently recruiting a driven Barista to help us create beautifully crafted drinks for Chartwells on a part time basis, contracted to 20 hours per week. As a Barista, you will use your skills to deliver first-class service and perfectly crafted coffees to our customers. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
