Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, Medirest, is recruiting a driven Barista to craft beverages for Healthcare on a full-time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week. You will deliver first-class service and perfectly crafted coffees to our customers, with opportunities to progress within a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and rewards and recognises employees who go beyond the plate.

Mon-Fri (Full Time Days) shifts are typical.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
• Ability to handle cash and card payments accurately.

• Preparing beverages and serving high-quality refreshments.
• Maintaining a clean bar area and work environment.
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and cards).
• Working as part of a team and communicating effectively.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Healthcare and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
