Job summary

Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) offers a role as a Catering Assistant within its Campus Services catering operation. You will work on an annualised 1,230 hours per annum contract, covering early to late service windows and across university outlets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality or customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve barista-style coffees and other hot and cold beverages.
• Provide friendly, professional service to students, staff and visitors.
• Operate cashless and cash payment systems with accurate transactions.
• Undertake basic food preparation and presentation according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and personal cleanliness at all times.
• Ensure food is prepared, stored and served per safety, allergen and Uni procedures.
• Keep service areas clean, tidy and well-presented during trading hours.
• Assist with stock rotation, waste management and housekeeping.
