Job summary

BaxterStorey is looking for a Barista to delight customers with warm greetings, expertly prepare coffee and tea, and share menu recommendations while observing allergen procedures.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and a friendly, approachable manner.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to busy periods.
• Passion for coffee, tea and delivering great guest experiences.
• Understanding of BaxterStorey core values and culture.
• Positive, solution-oriented mindset with a can-do attitude.
• Prior experience in food service is a plus.
• Basic food safety awareness and adherence to hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Prepare and serve coffee beverages, teas, and drinks to standard.
• Share menu stories and make recommendations; manage allergen procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar and surrounding areas.
• Follow health, safety and food hygiene guidelines.
• Monitor stock and restock supplies as needed.
• Use till systems for payments and orders.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues.
• Support team with other tasks as needed.
