Job summary

Costa Barista role within Compass Group UK&I, based in Stevenage, part-time (10 hours per week). You will craft and serve beautifully prepared coffees and related beverages, delivering friendly, first-class service to our customers with pride in every cup.

As part of a major High Street brand, you’ll learn brewing methods, maintain a clean bar area, handle payments, and support a team-focused environment that rewards initiative and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or hospitality roles.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages and serve high-quality drinks to customers.
• Keep the bar area clean and well-organised.
• Receive and process payments (cash and card).
• Be an enthusiastic team player and clear communicator.
• Maintain stock of mugs, plates and other service ware.
• Learn brewing methods, blends, and presentation techniques.
• Report any equipment maintenance needs promptly.
• Represent Costa and uphold brand image.

We're currently recruiting a driven Barista to help us create beautifully crafted drinks for a major High Street brand on a part time basis, contracted to 10 hours per week. As a Barista, you will use your skills to deliver first-class service and perfectly crafted coffees to our customers. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Costa and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
