Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. seeks a talented Barista for our Brighton contract location affiliated with the University of Sussex. This 37.5-hour per week, 52-week contract runs Monday to Friday across breakfast, lunch, café and bar services.

Key duties include producing high-quality coffee, maintaining stock, handling wages and cash, and ensuring food hygiene and health and safety policies are followed. We offer a wide range of perks and opportunities for progression.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality barista coffees for staff and visitors.
• Adhere to food standards and minimize wastage.
• Follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen controls.
• Stock and rotate all retail items.
• Set up location each morning for daily operations.
• Manage payments and cash handling.
• Conduct daily stock takes.
