Job summary

Costa in Lancashire is seeking a part-time barista to prepare drinks and serve high-quality food, while ensuring the front-of-house area stays welcoming and clean. You will handle payments and work as part of a friendly team, representing the Costa brand with enthusiasm.

The role requires hands-on experience with brewing equipment, the ability to work under pressure, strong timekeeping, and initiative to make customer-centered decisions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare drinks and serve food to high quality standards.
• Keep the bar area clean and stocked.
• Process payments (cash and card) efficiently.
• Be a proactive team player and clear communicator.
• Maintain stock of mugs and plates and support cleanup.
• Learn brewing methods, beverage blends, food prep and presentation.
• Check brewing equipment operates properly and report maintenance needs.
• Represent Costa and maintain a positive brand image.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health & Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Costa and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Requirements

• Have previous experience in customer service
• Strive for excellence in an eager and motivated manner
• Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers
• Have Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
• Possess the ability to work under pressure
• Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability

Contract

Part time basis, contracted to 10 hours per week.
