Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a Barista for the Costa brand on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). You will craft beverages, maintain a clean bar area, and deliver excellent customer service in a high-street location.

The role requires strong communication and a willingness to learn about coffee brewing methods and presentation. Shift patterns include 4 out of 7 days, with opportunities to progress within a large, people-focused company that values its employees and brand integrity.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service is required.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment is preferred.
• Must be a brilliant communicator and able to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drinks and serve high-quality beverages to customers.

• Process payments (cash and card) accurately.

• Maintain stock of mugs and plates and assist with stock checks.

We're currently recruiting a driven Barista to help us create beautifully crafted drinks for a major High Street brand on a part time basis, contracted to 20 hours per week. As a Barista, you will use your skills to deliver first-class service and perfectly crafted coffees to our customers. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Costa and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
