Job summary

BM Caterers in the City is seeking a trained Barista to join our coffee bar team. You’ll craft delicious hot beverages with attention to quality and presentation, welcome customers, and help ensure a smooth service at busy times.

You’ll bring cash handling experience, know how to operate tills, and value great merchandising and stock control. We provide training and development to grow your career within our contract catering family.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service environment dealing with customers or guest service.
• Ability to handle cash and operate tills accurately.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to busy periods and high demand.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot beverages with quality and presentation in mind.
• Manage the queue and assist during rush periods to maintain service flow.
• Engage with customers, ensuring satisfaction and repeat visits.
• Assist with merchandising and stock rotation to keep the counter well-stocked.

You know that preparing delicious hot beverages is something of an art form, and you’ll have the communication skills required for your role too – consistently positive, enthusiastic, helpful and ready to adapt to changing service needs. Whether that’s managing the queue if there’s a rush of customers, or serving someone with a food allergy.

You’ll come to us with confidence in cash handling and using tills, plus you will know how important good merchandising and stock rotation is – making sure our tempting food is available throughout the day. We’d prefer you to have experience in a service environment dealing with customers, and we will provide you with the training and development you need to grow your career with us.
