Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a Barista at JOURNEY CAMPUS / FLASK to deliver exceptional coffee and customer service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong customer service focus.

• Experience in hospitality or service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Prepare and serve coffee, teas and other drinks to standards.
• Share menu knowledge and provide recommendations; manage allergens.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar and surroundings.
• Follow health, safety and food safety guidelines and procedures.
• Assist with stock checks and restock when needed.
• Operate till/cash register and process payments.
• Provide exceptional service and resolve customer issues or complaints.

Job Description

• Delight our customers by greeting them in a friendly and professional manner
• Efficiently prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using the correct methods, equipment and to our standards
• Share the story of our menu, and provide recommendations to customers and be aware allergen procedures
• The pride in your workspace, maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar and other surrounding areas in line with cleaning schedules, company and COSHH standards
• Follow all health and safety and food safety guidelines and procedures
• Monitor stock levels and restock supplies as needed
• Use till systems for taking payments and customer orders
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaints
• Be a part of the team assisting on other tasks as needed
