Job summary

Barbour is seeking a Sales Assistant at our Livingston store for a Christmas temporary 8-hour contract. You will deliver excellent customer service, develop selling opportunities and represent the Barbour brand in a positive, professional manner.

The role focuses on hitting personal sales targets, maintaining store standards, processing transactions accurately and supporting management with daily tasks during the festive period.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to sales/ profitability budgets by achieving personal targets.
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
• Act as a brand ambassador promoting Barbour locally.
• Maintain shop floor standards front and back of house.
• Follow company administration procedures accurately.
• Comply with security procedures.
• Support store management procedures as required.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
• Process transactions through the till system.
• Undertake other reasonable activities requested by management.

Position Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Assistant to join our Livingston Store on a 8-hour part time temporary contract covering the Christmas period. You will be reliable and hardworking and have a passion for delivering excellent levels of customer service. The ideal candidate will be confident developing selling opportunities and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will act as a brand ambassador and will be responsible for representing the Barbour brand in a positive and professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contribute positively towards the sales/ profitability budgets for the store through achieving personal sales targets.
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
• Be a brand ambassador promoting the brand within the locality.
• Maintain shop floor standards both front and back of house.
• Undertake and apply accurate Company administration procedures.
• Comply with Company security procedures.
• Actively support store management procedures, in line with Company policy.
• Ensure all Health & Safety regulations and Company procedures are adhered.
• Accurately process transactions through the till system.
• Undertake any other reasonable activity, as may be required by senior management.

Skills and Experience:

• Excellent customer care and advanced selling skills.
• Understanding of requirements to work in a target orientated environment
