Dovetail & Slate Ltd is recruiting a Barbering Lecturer for a further education provider in the West Midlands. The role involves planning and delivering practical and theory sessions to learners, building their skills and confidence for barbering careers.

You will assess learners, monitor progress, and ensure a safe, well-organised salon and classroom. A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential, with opportunities to develop while teaching.

• A Level 3 barbering qualification, or equivalent.
• Industry experience in barbering.
• Availability on Mondays and Tuesdays for the hours stated.

About the Role

A further education provider in the West Midlands is looking for a Barbering Lecturer to join its teaching team. You'll plan and deliver practical and theory sessions to learners, helping them build the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to progress within the barbering industry.

Alongside teaching, you'll assess learners' work, track their progress and make sure the salon and classroom remain safe, well-organised environments in which to learn.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, delivering and assessing barbering sessions to learners.

• Monitoring and tracking learner progress, attendance and achievement.
• Maintaining a safe and effective salon and classroom environment.
• Keeping your industry knowledge current and embedding it into your teaching.

What We're Looking For

• A Level 3 barbering qualification, or equivalent
• Industry experience in barbering
• Availability on Mondays and Tuesdays for the hours stated

Desirable (but not essential)

• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of teaching, assessing or mentoring learners
