Job summary

Heart of Worcestershire College is seeking an Hourly Paid Lecturer in Barbering to join our Hair & Beauty team on a part-time basis. The role is based mainly at Redditch and Worcester campuses with travel between sites.

You will plan, deliver and assess lessons, maintain records, contribute to quality assurance and participate in professional development. This is an hourly paid, part-time post with opportunities to develop skills in a vibrant college environment.

Qualifications

• Must have teaching qualification or be willing to gain the Certificate in Education and Training within 2 years of appointment.
• Experience delivering Barbering/Beauty Therapy education is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Deliver engaging learning sessions using appropriate teaching methods.
• Monitor and assess learner progress and maintain records.
• Mark and provide constructive feedback on student work.
• Carry out administrative duties including attendance and registers.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and course reviews.
• Undertake CPD to maintain subject knowledge and teaching expertise.
• Provide support and guidance to students and refer to specialist services as needed.
