Job summary

Kimpton Fitzroy London is seeking a Part Time Barback to join Fitz’s Bar & Parlour in Bloomsbury, a vibrant luxury hotel where guests enjoy classic British dishes and crafted cocktails.

In this role you will ensure bartenders have glasses, garnishes, liquor and ice, keep the bar area tidy, restock as needed, and begin to learn the ins and outs of bartending and customer service while supporting a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a Barback or similar support role is advantageous.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• A flexible approach to shifts; may finish after midnight on many days.
• Availability to work on a Part Time basis (24hrs per week).

Responsibilities

• Ensure bartender has glasses, garnishes, liquor, beer, spirits and ice during service.
• Keep the service area tidy and clean up spills and broken glasses.
• Restock items running low to maintain smooth service.
• Learn the ins and outs of bartending and customer service.

Fitz’s Brasserie, a sophisticated eatery serving classic British dishes elevated from modern palates, and Fitz’s Bar & Parlour, a glamorous drinking dean and all-day parlour. Here guests can dine on quintessentially British cuisine, sip finely crafted cocktails and savour a late-night tipple (or two). Here local foodies and intrepid travellers alike gather to create memorable tales.

Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel is in the heart of Bloomsbury just a 2-minute walk from Russell Square tube station where the Piccadilly line runs 24hrs a day on Fridays and Saturdays!

As our Barback you will ensure the bartender has everything they need during service to keep everything running smoothly: clean glasses, enough garnishes, liquor, beer and spirits, ice cubes, etc. You will also be responsible for keeping the service area tidy (cleaning up spills and broken glasses) and restocking whatever’s running low. This a great role for someone who wants to learn the ins and outs of bartending and customer service.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Prior experience in a Barback or similar support role is advantageous.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
• A flexible approach to shifts, but it is important remember you may be finishing after midnight almost every day.
• Availability to work on a Part Time basis (24hrs per week)
