Job summary

Public House Group is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Bar Manager to join our London venues. Working with the Bar Manager, you’ll lead shifts, develop the team and ensure outstanding service and high standards across every service.

You have prior bar leadership experience, a passion for great drinks, and a collaborative approach. This role offers progression, training, and benefits in a dynamic pub group across London.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in bar leadership roles (Head Bartender/Bar Supervisor) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of drinks, cocktails, beers, wines.

Responsibilities

• Support the Bar Manager in day-to-day bar operations and lead shifts when required.
• Lead, motivate and develop the bar team to deliver warm, attentive service.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of new bar staff.
• Create and manage bar rotas within labour budgets.
• Maintain high standards of drinks quality and presentation.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, cellar management and cash handling.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety and responsible service of alcohol.
• Collaborate with floor and kitchen teams for seamless service.
