Job summary

Ardencote Hotel & Spa in Warwickshire seeks a Bars Supervisor to lead the bar team, oversee daily operations, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. This hands-on role involves crafting drinks, training staff, managing stock, and collaborating with the broader Food & Beverage team to maintain the highest service standards.

The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with shifts across 5 days. You will report to the Bars Manager and contribute to a welcoming, efficient bar operation while

Qualifications

• Passion for hospitality and guest service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the bar team during busy services.
• Deliver welcoming, engaging guest experiences and consistent drinks presentation.
• Support development of seasonal cocktails, menus and promotions.
• Train and coach team members, run briefings and set daily priorities.
• Manage stock including ordering, wastage, and stocktakes.
• Assist with rotas and shift planning to ensure adequate cover.
• Respond to guest feedback and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Are you an experienced bar professional who loves great drinks, great service and creating memorable guest experiences?

We're looking for a Bars Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage team and help lead the day-to-day operation of our bars. This is a hands-on role where you'll work alongside the team, support and develop colleagues, and make sure every guest receives the high standard of service we're known for

What You'll Be Doing

As Bars Supervisor, you'll support the Bars Manager and Assistant Bars Manager with the smooth running of our bar operations

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading and motivating the bar team during busy services
• Creating a welcoming, engaging and memorable experience for our guests
• Ensuring drinks are prepared and presented consistently to a high standard
• Supporting the development of seasonal cocktails, drinks menus and bar promotions
• Training and coaching team members, helping them build their knowledge and confidence
• Running team briefings and keeping everyone informed of daily priorities and guest requirements
• Managing stock effectively, including ordering, wastage control and stocktakes
• Supporting rotas and shift planning to ensure the right level of cover
• Responding to guest feedback and resolving any issues professionally
• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation across all bar areas
• Ensuring responsible alcohol service and compliance with licensing requirements
• Supporting cash handling, security and key-control procedures
• Working closely with the wider Food & Beverage team to deliver a seamless guest experience

What we're looking for

You’ll ideally have previous experience working within a bar, hotel, restaurant or hospitality environment, with experience of supervising or leading others

• Must have a genuine passion for hospitality and excellent guest service
• Must have excellent knowledge of bar service, beverages and drink preparation
• Must be confident leading and motivating a team
• Must have great communication and people skills
• Must have a hands-on approach and the ability to stay calm during busy services
• Must have good attention to detail and high standards of presentation
• Must have an understanding of stock control, wastage and cost management
• Must have knowledge of licensing, food hygiene and health & safety requirements

Additional Information:

Full-time - Working 37.5 hours per week

Working 5 out of 7 days a week

Shift Pattern: As required

Full flexibility is key as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and the business

Salary: £13.71 Per hour
