Job summary

Berkeley Scott is seeking an Event Steward to deliver professional customer service at various venues and events. You will welcome guests, verify entry credentials, direct visitors, monitor crowds and support safety procedures throughout each event.

Work as part of a team to maintain a professional and approachable presence, assist with setup and shutdown, and respond quickly to inquiries or incidents while upholding venue health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Report incidents or hazards to supervisors and follow procedures.
  • Support event set-up, operation and close-down as required.

Responsible for providing professional and friendly customer service at a variety of events and venues. Duties include welcoming and assisting guests, checking tickets and access passes, directing visitors around the venue, monitoring entrances and exits, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, and responding appropriately to customer queries or incidents.

Key responsibilities:
  • Welcoming guests and providing helpful customer service.
  • Checking tickets, passes and event credentials.
  • Directing visitors to seating areas, facilities and other parts of the venue.
  • Monitoring queues, entrances and exits.
  • Assisting with crowd management and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Reporting incidents, hazards or suspicious activity to supervisors.
  • Following venue health, safety and emergency procedures.
  • Working effectively as part of a team during busy events.
  • Maintaining a professional and approachable manner throughout the event.
  • Assisting with event set-up, close-down and general stewarding duties when required.
