Job summary

Wake The Tiger Ltd in London is recruiting a diligent Bar Staff member to join Absurd City, our exciting new immersive attraction. You will deliver consistent hospitality for cocktail bar and kitchen service, serving drinks and coffees to ticket holders and the public.

The role requires previous bar experience in a fast-paced setting, passion for hospitality, teamwork and clear communication; training will cover health and safety, licensing, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience on a bar in a fast-paced, large-scale food & beverage establishment.
• Experience working with cocktails and a passion for hospitality.
• Experience working with coffee in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Clear and confident communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, outstanding hospitality making Absurd City's Bar & Kitchen a top London venue.
• Work closely with the Kitchen team to ensure smooth service and high standards.
• Help create a positive, high-performing and inclusive culture.
• Prepare the bar for service and keep it tidy at close.
• Assist management with batching cocktails and stock reporting.
• Adhere to systems to keep bar/back-of-house organized.
• Maintain health & safety, food safety and licensing compliance.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a diligent, charismatic individual to make their mark in London's most exciting new immersive attraction. Wake the Tiger have built an incredible Bar and Kitchen set in their new attraction: Absurd City. It will serve everything from cocktails to coffees throughout the day to ticket holders, and we have partnered with a chosen caterer to deliver a high-class meat‑free menu in a fully kitted out commercial kitchen. That's not all though: It will also be open to the public in its own right and has set the goal of being an essential cocktail bar destination in London. We are looking for Bartenders to join a brand new team to deliver an awesome hospitality experience to our patrons.

You Will be Responsible For

• The delivery of consistent, outstanding hospitality establishing Absurd City's Bar & Kitchen as a top venue to visit in London

• Working closely with the Kitchen team to ensure slick service and impeccable standards are maintained.

• Helping create a positive, high‑performing and inclusive culture

• Preparing the bar for service and ensuring it is clean and tidy at the end of the day

• Supporting management and support staff in batching cocktails

• Disciplined, precise till usage to ensure orders are correct and sales and stock reporting is accurate.

• Adhering to systems and processes to ensure the bar and back of house is organised and tidy at all times

• Ensuring high standards of health & safety, food safety (to level 2 - training given) and following licensing obligations.
