We are looking for an experienced Bar Manager to join our team at Chets in The Hoxton, Shepherd's Bush.

The Hoxton Shepherd’s Bush, our fourth London location, is situated in the vibrant heart of Shepherd’s Bush, within an eclectic and diverse neighborhood. It features 237 creatively designed bedrooms and an all-day restaurant, Chet’s, serving Thai-American comfort food. The venue boasts a large open lobby with vintage seating and cozy corners, a central wraparound bar, and a terrace, making it ideal for exploring West London.

Chet’s: A Thai-Americana restaurant blending fragrant flavors and smoky textures from Thailand and the surrounding region with the comforts of a classic American diner.

Job Description

What you'll do...

1. Manage a lively and fast-paced bar operation day and night, reporting directly to the Restaurant General Manager.
2. Be creative by sharing ideas, developing, and implementing our bar strategy; contribute to innovating our bar concept and staying ahead of trends.
3. Create seasonal menus aligned with Chet's ethos and The Hoxton brand.
4. Develop a beverage program to establish a “destination bar” profile.
5. Lead your team by example, driving service standards to ensure the best guest experience; foster team growth and development in the Hoxton way.
6. Train bar staff for cocktail competitions.
7. Maintain comprehensive product knowledge and system familiarity.
8. Ensure all items are correctly set up on POS and FnBShop with appropriate prices and recipes.
9. Own your P&L, managing beverage costs effectively.
10. Conduct monthly stocktakes with full stock management accountability.

Qualifications

What we're looking for...

1. 2-3 years’ experience in a bar operations role, with a background in cocktail menu development, preferably in a luxury or lifestyle bar environment.
2. Experience with stock management.
3. Proficiency with FnBShop.
4. Experience collaborating with brands and account managers.
5. Experience in brand activations.
6. A natural leader who fosters an inclusive, empowering environment where team members can be themselves and excel.
7. A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests and colleagues alike.
8. Comfortable with a relaxed, ego-free attitude and a willingness to try new approaches.
