Job summary

The Ivy Collection is opening The Ivy New Castle in Newcastle and is seeking a Bar Manager to lead front-of-house beverage service with flair. You will welcome guests, curate cocktails, ensure compliance, and drive service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in bar management or a similar role.
• Proficient in crafting cocktails and drinks to high standards.
• Excellent spoken and written English; able to engage guests.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to weighting, licensing, health and safety requirements and Fire procedures.
• Welcome guests, take drink orders, recommend and serve cocktails.
• Support revenue-generating initiatives and meet budgeted sales targets.
• Assist in staff training and liaise with senior management to develop team members.
• Coach and support staff during service to maintain exceptional standards.

Key elements of your role as a Bar Manager:

• Adhere to all legal requirements regarding weights and measures, licensing laws, health, and safety as well as fire procedures, ensuring these are always adhered to.
• Welcoming customers, taking drink orders, making recommendations, and serving exquisite drinks that delight our guests.

• Guide, coach, and support staff during service to develop teamwork and ensure the standard of service is always exceptional.

About you:

• You have at least 2 years + experience in this role
• You are skilled in preparing cocktails and spirits to high standards
• You love to wow guests with exceptional service
• You have excellent English language skills
• You are friendly and professional with plenty of charisma and flair
