Job summary

Caravan Manchester is seeking a friendly Bar Manager to lead a busy bar team, delivering our Caravan of Love service and creating memorable drinks for guests. You’ll work with the GM and Head Chef to develop staff and ensure smooth service from start to finish.

You should be passionate about beverages, comfortable with systems like Fourth and Harri, and committed to sustainability, inclusion and guest delight.

Qualifications

• Experience in running busy bar operations and delivering consistent guest experiences.
• Ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of beverage service, stock control and health/safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Delivering the Caravan of Love style customer experience with your team.
• Coaching and developing key team members during service.
• Work with General Manager and Head Chef to nurture and grow the team.

Bar Manager

Up to £17.40 per hour, depending on experience.

As a Caravan Bar Manager you will be responsible for;

• Delivering our ‘Caravan of Love’ style of customer experience with your team and serving up our ‘well-travelled’ food and drink, which is inspired by flavours from our founders’ native New Zealand, as well as their global travels.
• Working with your General Manager and Head Chef to nurture and develop your team.
• Your own learning in order to develop your knowledge and skills and take ownership of your role and your restaurant.
• We work with Fourth, FnB and Harri so it would be great if you have experience with these systems, although we can always show you the ropes if you haven’t.
• Follow all legal requirements regarding weights and measures, licensing laws, health, and safety as well as fire procedures.
• Welcoming customers, taking drinks orders, making recommendations, and serving our well-travelled drinks that delight our guests.
• Training and development of key team members.
• Guide, coach, and support teams during service, to develop teamwork and ensure the standard of service is always exceptional.
