Job summary

Dakota Manchester Airport, a prominent hospitality brand, is seeking a Bar Manager with passion for beverages and cocktails. Lead bartenders and hosts, deliver high standards, and drive revenue while maintaining exceptional guest service.

Successful candidates will have substantial experience in a high-end bar or restaurant, plus training and leadership capabilities. The role offers a dynamic environment at the Manchester Airport location with comprehensive staff development and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in a full-service, high-end restaurant and/or bar.
• At least 1 year’s experience training others in a Bar or Restaurant environment.
• Experience overseeing bar operations, team, and customer service.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wines and spirits.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to strategically drive revenue.
• Experience running services and cash handling.
• Strong knowledge of wines and wine pairings with dishes.
• Enthusiastic, detail-oriented and culture‑driven candidate.
• Flexible with shift patterns and brand commitment.

Responsibilities

• Drive the highest levels of service and direct bartenders, bar floor team and hosts.
• Run bar services throughout the day with hands-on hosting and high standards.
• Implement training plans and on-the-job training for polished service.
• Carry out cocktail & drinks training to boost guest experience.
• Support commercial running of bar including rota approval and orders.
• Hands-on service and hosting, maintaining standards at all times.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage menus including allergens.
