Sopwell House in Hertfordshire is seeking a bar supervisor to lead the Cocktail Bar team and deliver exceptional guest service. The role involves supervising, training, stocking and ensuring standards across service, sanitation and product range.

Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience in a luxury bar environment, strong cocktails knowledge, confident leadership and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Competitive salary and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a bar or F&B environment, preferably luxury hotels.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits and beverage service.
• Confident leadership to train, motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent guest service with a warm, personable manner.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the Octagon Bar Manager in supervising, training and developing the bar team.
• Act as a guest service role model, creating a warm atmosphere for guests.
• Ensure the Cocktail Bar is stocked and the team trained to serve it.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints, and identify sales opportunities.
• Work on the floor during peak times to support the team.
• Maintain service, sanitation and food handling standards.
• Collaborate with the wider Food & Beverage team.
