Job summary

Axiom Hospitality at Hilton Belfast is seeking a Part-Time Bar Assistant to support No.4 Bar. You will set up the bar, take orders, charge accurately, and assist with service and beverage delivery.

You will be trained across the role and have opportunities to expand your food and beverage knowledge, menus, wine, and suggestions, in a lively team setting.

Qualifications

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry.
• Previous bar or restaurant experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Set up the bar, take food and drink orders from guests accurately and charge correctly.
• Assist with table clearing, food delivery, beverage preparation and delivery.
• Be trained in all aspects of the role and build knowledge to suggest menu items including wine and beverages.

Your role

As a Bar Assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of service within the guidelines set by management and the department's standard operating procedures.

You will be responsible for setting up the bar, taking food and drink orders from guests accurately and charging correctly, as well as assisting with table clearing, food delivery, beverage preparation and delivery.

You will be trained in all aspects of the role and have the opportunities to build on your food and beverage knowledge to know and understand the menus and offer food, wine, and beverage suggestions.

You’ll work in a busy and hardworking team environment, where you’ll continually learn and develop.
