Greene King Community Pubs is offering a Bar and Waiting Apprentice role that blends hands-on training with real hospitality. You’ll learn to greet guests, serve drinks and food, and work behind the bar alongside a supportive team.

The apprenticeship focuses on practical skills through on-the-job coaching, with functional English and Maths support and regular progress reviews. You’ll join a friendly, lively brand that values community, inclusion, and career development across our pubs and inns.

• Keep the bar safe, legal, and clean, addressing issues quickly and safely.

As a Bar and Waiting Apprentice, you will…

What your apprenticeship includes:

• You won’t need to attend college; our apprenticeships are delivered through work-based training which includes a mixture of face-to-face sessions and remote Team calls with your Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks. You will also have a mentor within the workplace to support you.
• Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths, with support tailored to your needs (if you don’t already have GCSE or equivalents)
• Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach including feedback sessions.
