Job summary

The Falstaff Hotel in Canterbury is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic Part-Time Bartender to join our historic team. You’ll deliver warm, professional service at the bar, handle orders, and maintain a clean, well-stocked space in a traditional hotel setting.

We offer flexible hours, training, and the chance to be part of a hotel with centuries of hospitality history. Previous bar experience is welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Friendly and positive personality.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable, organised and able to work under pressure.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Genuine interest in hospitality.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and busy periods.
• Previous bar or hospitality experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.

• Preparing and serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Taking orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the bar.

• Following licensing, health & safety and food hygiene procedures.
• Supporting the wider hotel team when required.

The Falstaff Hotel, Canterbury

The Falstaff Hotel has been at the heart of hospitality in Canterbury for over 600 years. A traditional 15th-century coaching inn, our hotel is steeped in history and full of character. Over the years, the hotel has grown through the conversion of an adjacent Wood Mill and the former pub, The Tap, creating a unique and welcoming destination for our guests.

We are now looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Part-Time Bartender to join our team.

The Role

As a Bartender at The Falstaff, you’ll be an important part of our guests’ experience, providing warm and professional service in our bar and helping to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming guests and providing friendly, attentive service.
• Preparing and serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Taking orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the bar.
