Job summary

Crieff Hydro Hotel is seeking a Banqueting Sous Chef to lead our banqueting kitchen team, delivering high-volume, high-quality catering for weddings, corporate events and celebrations. You’ll be hands-on with planning, prep and service, ensuring consistency, efficiency and presentation.

You will work closely with the Head Chef and events colleagues in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Banqueting experience, leadership and strong organisation are essential.

• Banqueting experience in events or large-scale catering.
• Leadership experience in managing a kitchen team.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to plan ahead.

About The Role

As our Banqueting Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in leading our banqueting kitchen team. You’ll support the Head Chef in delivering high-volume, high-quality catering for a wide range of events – from elegant weddings to corporate functions and special occasions. You’ll be hands‑on with planning, prep, and service, ensuring consistency, efficiency and excellent presentation, no matter the size or style of the event. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role that’s perfect for someone with strong banqueting experience.

What We Need From You

• Banqueting experience – You’ve worked in events or large-scale catering and know what it takes to deliver exceptional food under pressure.
• Leadership – Confident leading a team and stepping up when the Head Chef isn’t around.
• Organisation – You thrive on planning ahead and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
• Attention to detail – Whether it’s 20 covers or 200, your standards never slip.
• Team focus – You’ll work closely with our chefs, front-of-house and events teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.
