Job summary

Taste Hospitality Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Banqueting Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a prestigious weddings and events venue in Amersham.

In this hands-on role you will manage the kitchen, drive high food quality, control costs, and mentor a brigade to deliver memorable experiences for every event.

With a £45,000 salary and the potential for up to £3,000 discretionary bonus plus tronc, you will play a key part in shaping the operation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in high-volume events.
• Strong cost control and budgeting skills.
• Excellent food quality and presentation standards.
• Hands-on approach and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen and lead the team by example.
• Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and delivery.
• Organise preparation and kitchen operations to ensure events run smoothly.
• Lead, motivate and develop the brigade, creating a positive working environment.
• Manage stock, ordering and food costs effectively.
• Monitor gross profit and labour costs, working towards agreed budgets and targets.
• Work closely with the wider team to ensure the kitchen is ready for upcoming events and guest requirements.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Look for ways to improve the food offering and overall kitchen operation.
