Job summary

The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a Chef de Partie for our Banqueting kitchen, focusing on conferences and events. You’ll prepare menu items for hotel occupancy and support the kitchen during busy periods.

You will be accountable for portion control, allergen safety, temperature logging, and maintaining high standards with local produce, while supporting teammates to deliver fast, accurate service.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Passionate about food and seasonal ingredients.
• Standards-driven with attention to detail.
• Experience taking ownership of your section and logging wastage for GP%.
• Able to develop strong relationships with your team and colleagues.
• COSHH and HACCP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and delivering beautifully crafted food using the best ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
• Understanding allergens and dietary safety within your kitchen.
• All temperature logging for hot items and refrigerators to ensure full compliance.
• Running a section of the kitchen during busy services and supporting teammates to deliver fast, accurate service.
• Clearing and cleaning of your section and other kitchen areas to stay compliant.
