1st Step Solutions Ltd is recruiting for a Banksman/Labourer in Newton Abbot. The role involves safely directing vehicle and plant movements and assisting drivers with manoeuvring on a busy construction site.

You will ensure site safety and perform general labouring duties as areas become available. The position offers an umbrella pay rate of £22 per hour, with potential weekend work and overtime, initially through Xmas but for about 18 months.

• Security clearance will be required (BPSS now, EL1 later).

Required: Banksman/Labourer

Location: Newton Abbot (TQ12)

Pay Rate: £22.00p/hr Umbrella

Duration: Initially work until Xmas, but project runs for 18 months

Site Hours: Monday to Friday (0730-1700pm - 45 hours per week), with the possibility of ad hoc weekend work and overtime

Duties: Safely directing vehicle and plant movements, assisting drivers with manoeuvring, maintaining site safety, and carrying out general labouring duties as work areas become available.

Qualifications: Valid CSCS Card required

Other Notes: Security clearance will be required. This will initially start with BPSS clearance, which can typically be completed within 1 week to 10 days. EL1 clearance will be required at a later stage when additional areas of the prison become accessible. This can be completed whilst working on site.
