Job summary

Plymouth-based Banksman role with CarmichaelUK on a long-term site project. You will direct plant and vehicles on site, ensuring safe movement and clear communication with operators, while maintaining exclusion zones and designated routes.

Lodging and travel are available for eligible candidates. Applicants must hold the specified competencies and undergo BPSS and identity checks for project eligibility.

Qualifications

• CPCS Plant and Vehicle Marshaller A73.
• Safety Critical Medical.
• Previous Banksman/Plant and Vehicle Marshaller experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely directing and marshalling plant and vehicles on site.
• Assisting with the safe movement of vehicles and mobile plant.
• Maintaining clear communication with plant operators and drivers.
• Ensuring exclusion zones and designated traffic routes are maintained.
• Supporting safe site operations and following all site health and safety procedures.

Banksman – Plymouth

• Location: Plymouth
• Duration: Long-term work
• Grade: Skilled Worker 3
• Basic Rate: £18.63 per hour
• Overtime 1: £27.95 per hour
• Overtime 2: £37.26 per hour
• Lodge, Travel: Available for eligible candidates

We are looking for experienced Banksmen to join a long-term project in Plymouth.

Duties

• Safely directing and marshalling plant and vehicles on site
• Assisting with the safe movement of vehicles and mobile plant
• Maintaining clear communication with plant operators and drivers
• Ensuring exclusion zones and designated traffic routes are maintained
• Supporting safe site operations and following all site health and safety procedures

Competencies / Requirements

Candidates must hold:

• CPCS Plant and Vehicle Marshaller A73
• Safety Critical Medical
• Previous experience working as a Banksman / Plant and Vehicle Marshaller

Security Clearance Requirements

Due to the nature of the project, successful candidates will be required to complete the project security vetting and BPSS process.

Candidates will need to provide the required documentation to support identity, right-to-work and employment history checks.

Project-specific nationality requirements also apply, with candidates required to meet the relevant NATO member-country eligibility criteria.
