Job summary

Forvis Mazars UK seeks an Internal Audit Manager within Banking Risk Consulting to lead IA engagements for banking and financial services clients. You will manage fieldwork, deliver high-quality reports, and present to Audit Committees while guiding a team of junior auditors.

You will develop client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and ensure adherence to quality and risk standards across the team.

Qualifications

• ACA, CA, ACCA, IIA or CII qualification or equivalent.
• Experience planning, delivering and managing internal audit fieldwork.
• Experience managing a portfolio of Banking and Financial Services IA clients.
• Experience delivering reviews: Underwriting and Credit Risk Management; Enterprise Risk Management; Deposit and Card operations; Compliance Framework reviews; Third party Risk Management; Payment operations.
• Strong knowledge of UK FS regulations for Banks, Building Societies and non-bank lenders.
• Familiarity with MCOBs for Regulated loans.
• Excellent communication and report writing; capable of delivering training sessions and webinars.
• Experience presenting at Audit Committees.
• Strong interpersonal, client handling and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, fieldwork, delivery and finalisation of internal audit engagements.
• Lead a team of Assistant Managers and Senior Consultants.
• Prepare and review internal audit reports and other deliverables.
• Lead opening and closing meetings with key client contacts (Exco).
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
• Provide on-the-job training and supervision of junior team members.
• Identify opportunities and prospects for new work.
• Lead preparation of client proposals / pitches.
• Ensure Quality and Risk standards across the team.
