Join to apply for the Banking & Finance Associate/Senior Associate (5+ PQE) role at Bevan Brittan LLP.
Following continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Associate or a Senior Associate to join our Banking & Finance team.
We are an ambitious and dynamic team of banking & finance specialists, acting for a wide range of clients across sectors including healthcare, social housing, property development, local authority and education.
We regularly act for lenders, investors, corporate and developer clients on funding for property acquisitions and development, corporate acquisitions and refinancing. We are expanding our client base, winning places on an increasing number of bank panels, including those of challenger banks and specialist real estate lenders, notably in the healthcare sector. Our recognised expertise in healthcare finance means we are frequently instructed on high-value and complex transactions.
We are ranked in the top tiers for social housing, healthcare and local authority work by Chambers and Legal 500. We are also proud to have won Legal Advisor of the Year (Transactional) at the HealthInvestor Awards for four consecutive years and are again finalists for the upcoming awards in June 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a large variety of work and to meaningfully contribute to the growth of our Banking & Finance practice by building relationships with clients and engaging in business development initiatives.
The successful candidate can be based out of either our Bristol, Leeds or London office.
There will be significant progression opportunities available for the successful candidate, with an opportunity to truly make your mark on the practice.
You will have at least 5 years’ qualified banking experience and enjoy being part of a transactional team as you will be regularly collaborating with colleagues from our Property, Construction, Commercial and Corporate teams.
This role will involve advising clients on a full range of banking matters and transactions from start to finish. As a senior member of the team, you will need to be comfortable running your own matters largely independently.
Whilst we are open to a range of banking experience, exposure to real estate or corporate finance would be beneficial, notably in the context of the healthcare and living sectors.
As well as building out your technical skill‑set, in this role you will have a real opportunity to hone your business development skills and sector‑specific knowledge.
We are looking for passionate and committed lawyers who care deeply about delivering an excellent service to their colleagues and clients, who take pride in the quality of their work and the depth of their relationships and connections. You will be proactive and forward‑thinking, responsive and hardworking, as well as caring, compassionate and collaborative. Above all, we are looking for someone who is a team player by nature, with the drive and enthusiasm to help us grow our Banking & Finance practice and deliver an area of strategic growth for the firm.
