Chadwick Nott is recruiting an Associate/Senior Associate to join its Banking & Finance team in Bristol, advising on high-value finance transactions in a collaborative, agile environment. The role offers hybrid working and exposure to complex financing matters.

You will lead and support a range of lending transactions, build client relationships, and contribute to team growth while mentoring junior lawyers. A strong drafting and negotiation background is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years’ PQE in banking and finance.
• Proven track record leading finance transactions.
• Experience in sectors such as sustainable economy, impact investing, financial services, real estate or international finance.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating at all levels.

Responsibilities

Associate / Senior Associate – Banking & Finance – Bristol

Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time or Part-time (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £70,000 – £95,000 (depending on experience)

A dynamic and forward thinking law firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its highly experienced Banking & Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative, agile environment, advising on high value and complex finance transactions while contributing to the continued growth of a nationally recognised practice.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for leading and supporting a wide variety of finance matters, including:

• Real estate finance
• Acquisition finance
• Corporate lending
• Development finance
• Project finance
• Impact investment transactions

Your work will include drafting, negotiating and advising on facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements, loan notes and related finance documentation. You will advise both lenders and borrowers on new lending arrangements, refinancings and restructurings, and manage transaction workstreams across multi disciplinary teams.

You will also:

• Support domestic and international transactions, including working with overseas counsel
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted adviser
• Identify opportunities for collaboration and business development

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
