Job summary

HelloKindred is seeking an experienced DLP & Data Security specialist in the United Kingdom to design, configure, and tune DLP policies across Zscaler, Symantec, Proofpoint, and MIP/Purview. You will monitor alerts, investigate incidents, and drive remediation actions within regulated banking environments.

The role requires hands-on DLP expertise, strong communication with stakeholders, and ability to support audits and compliance activities.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of Data Security and DLP experience.
• Hands-on with Zscaler DLP, Symantec DLP, Proofpoint and MIP/Purview.
• Experience creating, configuring and tuning DLP policies.
• Experience investigating DLP alerts and incidents.
• Experience supporting data protection compliance and audits.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Banking/financial services regulated experience.
• Experience with regulated environments and data protection requirements.
• Python or Java development skills would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create, configure, and tune DLP policies to support data protection requirements.
• Monitor and investigate DLP alerts and data security incidents.
• Analyse potential data loss events and determine remediation actions.
• Manage and troubleshoot DLP issues across business and user environments.
• Support data protection compliance activities and audit requirements.
• Configure and maintain DLP technologies (Zscaler, Symantec, Proofpoint, MIP/Purview).
• Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve security issues.
• Respond to business/user requirements during working hours.
• Identify opportunities to improve DLP controls, processes, and security.
• Document investigations, policy changes, incidents, and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to address data security risks.
