Job summary

A London-based Data Analyst is required by a UK challenger bank to work with the Data team on a Data Excellence project. The role focuses on data quality, governance and remediation within Retail or Corporate Banking.

You will review large data exceptions, assess materiality and business impact of defects, and contribute to regulatory data requirements. Advanced Excel and a solid understanding of UK banking data are essential, with Cloud data experience (GCP) preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience on data quality, remediation or governance within financial services.
• Ability to assess materiality and business impact of data defects.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience in UK banking data and regulatory reporting data requirements.
• Experience with Cloud Data platforms (GCP) preferred.
• Knowledge of UK lending/deposits data is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Review large volumes of data exceptions and identify themes and defects.
• Assess materiality and business impact of data defects.
• Contribute to the Data Excellence project within the Data team.
• Support the bank's data strategy delivery.
