Job summary

Capgemini in London is seeking a Senior Data Architect to design scalable, cloud-enabled data platforms for Financial Services clients. You will lead end-to-end data lake solutions and review artefacts to ensure alignment with architectural principles.

Hybrid role combining work from Capgemini offices, client sites, and remote days, with emphasis on collaboration, delivery in sprints, and stakeholder engagement with the Group Data Office and Architecture Review Board.

Qualifications

• Highly experienced solution architect for large-scale distributed data projects.
• Experience with Cloudera CDH/CDP on Prem and Cloud.
• Experience with Cassandra, HBase, Kafka and Spark.
• Strong ETL/data pipeline experience with Airflow and NiFi.
• Programming in Java, Python or Scala.
• Knowledge of data architecture principles and modern engineering practices.
• Financial services experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective data solution designs within the Banks EDL/ODS platforms on Cloudera in AWS.
• Design end-to-end data lake and distributed data solutions.
• Contribute to factory planning and risk/issues
• Review artefacts from other data solution architects.
• Produce design artefacts independently or with a team.
• Engage with stakeholders and present to Architecture Review Board.
• Support delivery teams and break down solutions for iterative delivery.
