Job summary

Horizon Care and Education Ltd is seeking a Bank Youth Support Worker to assist young people across Lancashire and Greater Manchester. You will provide emotional and practical support, help with education access, and assist in preparing for independent living.

The role requires safeguarding knowledge, resilience, and excellent communication. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins is essential; driving license and access to a vehicle are desirable.

As a Youth Support Worker you will be helping young people transition to independent living, duties include:

• Provide emotional and practical support , including out-of-hours on-call.
• Develop and review support plans, ensuring safeguarding and risk management.
• Help young people access education, training, and employment.
• Manage properties and liaise with other professionals.
• Support our young people to develop independent living skills to prepare them to live fully independently .

• Experience working with vulnerable young people, ideally care leavers.
